Chemical Cartridge Respirators

Toxic gases and vapors exist in our work environment. Recently, we are surrounded by tremendous kinds of chemicals, which can lead to a variety of gas poisoning.
Some gases are very dangerous even with tiny amount; other gases can cause a chronic condition by continuous inhalation over a long period. To prevent such toxic gas problem, it is very important to use respiratory apparatus such as chemical cartridge respirators with proper manner.To use chemical cartridge respirators, it is strongly required to understand the danger of gas in question, to choose proper cartridge and respirators that is suitable for the gases and vapors against which respiratory protection is required. Get familiarized yourself with its safe and proper usage, maintain and keep it properly.

The National Standard for the chemical cartridge respirators has been issued by The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan as national assay, and by JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards). Make sure to use gas mask which conform to these standards.

Model R-5 Chemical Cartridge Respirator
Single cartridge respirator for the work under low gas density, and for the work with organic solvents.

Optional filters for particulate protection category S1, S2 (Category S2 is available with KGC-1S(C) + Uni-Micron Filter) are available. The under chin style facepiece assembled with new head harness (three-dimensionally shaped plastic-molded cradle style) provides enhanced respirator fit and wearing comfort.

Model RR-7 Chemical Cartridge Respirator
Dual cartridge, double in service life Versatile half mask facepiece respirator.

The under chin style facepiece, with unique, technological design of inner lip, is molded of silicone durable and resistant to chemicals but facial skin friendly. Optional filters for particulate protection category S1, S2 (Category S2 is available with KGC-1S(C) + Uni-Micron Filter) are available.

Model G-7 Chemical Cartridge Respirator
Model G-7 Chemical Cartridge Respirator with silicone facepiece lip. Light weight and compact.

The bonnet design protects the exhalation valve from paint mists. Approximately 112g (when equipped with KGC-10 (C) organic vapor cartridge), suitable for painting work. Optional Pre-filter (category S1) for hazardous mist is also available.

HV-22 Chin Style Chemical Cartridge Respirators
Full face piece chemical cartridge respirators which utilizes a canister containing gas solvent and directly attached onto the facepiece front inlet.

The facepiece is a single lens full face piece equipped with mechanical speaking diaphragm and nose cup. It provides a wide vision (Hi-Scope 5)

Filters for Chemical Cartridges
Chemical Cartridges, once equipped together with dust particulate filters, provides very efficient performance against paint mists.
One of the typical environment where dust particulates and gases are mixed is the painting work. In spray painting work, not only solvent vapors from paint, but also mists and dust particulates are also scattered. And these mists and dust particulates won't be adequately captured by chemical cartridges. As they are very fine particulates, high performance filters are required on top of chemical cartridge for organic vapor.
Below graph shows performance of organic vapor chemical cartridge KGC-1S coupled with dust particulate filter-Uni-Micron Filter (category S2). It protects you from paint mists which include toxic material such as isocyanato and other dust particulates and mists.
