NBC masks (model TH-1
and TH-1H) are designed for the use of civilians' respiratory protection
to evacuate from NBC (Nuclear,Biological,Chemical) events. "Evacuate" means
an emergency escape from contaminated / hazardous area and does not
mean an operations such as rescue, refuge guidance and disposal works
in hazardous environments. This is because NBC suit is required for
complete protection against nerve agents such as Sarin , vesicant
agents such as Sulfur Mustard, which can be absorbed through eyes
and skin. Unfortunately, we are unable to tell when NBC events happen,
and in a real life, it is almost impossible for civilians to get
NBC suit prepared. Besides, NBC masks are easy to wear and effective
in terms of respiratory protection. Therefore, NBC masks (especially
model TH-1H with hood) are the most reasonable conclusion for civilians
at this moment. |

NBC
masks prevents wearer from breathing nerve agents such as Sarin
, vesicant agents such as Sulfur Mustard, blood agents such as
Hydrocyanic acid and Suffocation agent such as Chlorine.
Also NBC Masks prevents wearer from breathing extreme toxic materials such as
radioactive dusts, virus (e.g. smallpox) , and bacteria (e.g. anthrax ) .
Once masks are used for virus and bacteria, they must be incinerated before being
disposed of.
Not available for evacuation from fire as the NBC masks are not available for
carbon monoxide.
Training for proper mask fitting is available as the mask is kept in an ammonium
zipper bag.
Performance validity is 2 years after production.
Hood model TH-1H and TH-1HJ can be used with your eyeglasses. Hood (made of soft
polyolefin film / 3 layers) protects wearer to absorb gases and droplets through
skin of head.

conditions
Humidity load: 20°C, 700ppm Temperature load 50%, 700ppm
In relation to humidity, for Chloropicrin, the more humid, the shorter service
life, and the lesser humid, the longer service life. And for Hydrocyanic acid
gas and Chlorine gas, the more humid, the longer service life.
In relation to temperature, for Chloropicrin, the higher the temperature is,
the shorter service life. And for Hydrocyanic acid gas and Chlorine gas, the
higher the temperature is, almost no change or longer service life.
Inhalation Resistance
Easiness in breathing is very important factor for evacuation mask. If breathing
is tough, it may make evacuation difficult or give mental stress to the evacuators.
And the is more important thing is, that the mask with high inhalation resistance
shows higher inward leakages. Our NBC masks' inhalation resistance is around
100Pa at 40liter / min (National Test), which is very low figure with above filtering
efficiency and service life. |
