Supplied Air Respirators

  • Supplied Air Respirators

The supplied air respirator is a respiratory protective device that supplies clean air to the wearer through an air supply hose.
In some respirators air is supplied by an air compressor or a motor-driven blower and in others by the wearer’s own inhalation strength.
By selecting and wearing the right kind of supplied air respirator among various types available for your needs, the wearer may work safely in the following work environments:
・Oxygen-deficient workplace
・Environment with a high concentration of harmful substances, and
・Environment where extremely harmful substances are generated
After careful examination of the work environment, choose the correct supplied air respirator appropriate for the particular environment.

The facepiece that fits the wearer’s face snugly

HAWC (High Adaptable Wide Concave) lip featuring a large, flexible and specially curved face-contacting area, is designed to work like a suction cup to enhance fitness between the face and the face-contacting area of a facepiece.
It ensures airtightness, wide field of vision and lightweight.

Pressure demand airline respirators that have a high protective capacity

They supply a necessary amount of air ‘on demand’ corresponding to the wearer’s breathing and maintain a positive pressure (higher than the ambient atmosphere) in the facepiece at all times whether the wearer inhales or exhales.
Therefore, should a gap occur between the face and the facepiece, air should blow out the gap and prevent contaminated outside air from entering, enabling the wearer to work safely.

Anti-static airline respirators

In an environment where inflammable substances exist, a discharge of static electricity that is built up on the human body may cause inflammable substances to catch fire and explode.
In anti-static airline respirators the surface of rubber and plastic materials is subjected to conductive treatment to prevent a discharge of this static electricity. By forcibly releasing static electricity that is built up on the human body to the ground through the mask, the connecting tube, the filtration tube and the pressure hose, the wearer can work safely in an environment where inflammable gases present.
